Lehigh Valley Music Awards - we're nominated!

This weekend is the musical community's biggest event in the Lehigh Valley - the Lehigh Valley Music Awards happen on Sunday, March 8th at ArtsQuest.  Sunshine Symphony is thrilled to be nominated by our peers in the music industry as "Outstanding New Band" this year (our second together).

We have been thankful to have performed all over the area in the past year, from "Tunes at Twilight" to Forks Township's Summer Concert series, to Fullerton Carnival, and happy that people have noticed the passion we put into our performances, the time we've spent rehearsing and re-rehearsing, and the variety of the music we play, like our tongue-in-cheek humor as you listen to our version of "Raise Your Glass" that bursts suddenly into the chorus of "Let it Go" from Frozen.

We are also thankful to be a part of the Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia music scenes, and have such a variety of venues in which to perform. To be part of a community that recognizes the arts and its talented musicians is a blessing!

I was fortunate enough to have gotten a peak at CB, in her ultra-fine fashion statement of an evening....I mean, hospital gown, which was posted on Facebook on 04/17/2015. Her face glowed with happiness, triumph and pride as she rang the bell in the Chapel at LVHCHN, thus opening a new door to a new and ever-growing life for her. I felt her strength and understood her sense of accomplishment Mind over body. She was clearly able to defeat this demon in her life, methodically and persistently. The celebration that night at Stemies, on Rt 611 in Williams Twp, PA was incredible. The place was filled with nothing but positive and happy energy. She and Ricky rocked their asses off......CB with her dry humor on-stage. Ricky with his up-front stage presence and the passion of his electric guitar. Last minute fill ins were needed for Bass and Drums. They came in on short notice. They too were feeling the glow. They nailed every song. Congrats again CB----I WILL SURVIVE, HEY, HEY (Ps/I still did not get that Selfie. email joanne03@ptd.net...resend?)
